Since starting my business, creating bespoke designs has been a large part of my work. I enjoy collaborating with clients on bridal commissions, but also special pieces for occasions and events, performance and editorial shoots.
Meeting people who share a love for beautiful things, getting to know them, and creating a piece that reflects their character and how they want to feel when they wear their bespoke piece is such a privilege, and the most rewarding part of my job. Every client brings a new experience, and I’ve been lucky to meet some wonderful women while getting to design and make what I love!
HOW IT WORKS
PRICING: Bespoke prices start at £250, and the final price will depend on the fabrics, techniques and time involved in the making process. If you have a budget in mind do let me know and I can work towards this when designing.
TIMEFRAME: I usually suggest leaving at least 6 weeks for the bespoke process, so we can fit in the consultation and fitting(s) comfortably, but I will always take a look at shorter timescales to see what is possible.
PROCESS: Once I have received initial contact and have all the information I need to begin, I will work on design sketches, and fabric and trim sourcing to present you with design options and costs.
When you have chosen the design I will need a 30% deposit to cover ordering the fabric and start the making process. I will stay in touch with photos and updates until the piece is at a stage to be tried on, at which point we will have the fitting where any amends to the design and fit can be discussed. The fitting date can be specified by you - for example you might want a piece for your dress fitting or hair appointment.
After this we will work on completing the piece and send images. If you are 100% happy you will pay the balance and the piece will be shipped using our UPS courier service.
If you would prefer to book a final fitting to try the finished piece, and collect it in person just specify this when choosing your design.
LOCATION: My studio is based in Dalston, East London, however I am happy to meet anywhere in central London (zones 1-2) as most of my pieces are easy to transport, and I understand the difficulty of fitting in appointments around work!
I can also work remotely on designs, using email and skype, and posting fabric and trim samples. Instead of the fittings a more comprehensive photo and video communication can be used for all but the most complex designs.
GETTING IN TOUCH: If you would like to enquire about your bespoke design, please email me with your name, contact number, and the occasion you need the piece for with as much detail as possible, especially the date!
If you have any reference or inspiration images, pictures of your outfit, styling of the event such as flowers, colours, overall theme those are all very useful. But of course if you are open to suggestions, and just want to let me know the vibe you are looking for that is fine too!
