Lizzie McQuade is a London-based, Scottish milliner who creates hats and headpieces for the discerning, romantic woman.
Her work features playful proportions and sculptural elements which take shape with her signature use of intriguing embellishments, feminine forms, and applique.
Utilising her skills in traditional millinery, embroidery, leather-work, beading and hand-dying techniques, McQuade creates modern pieces that are always made by hand. Lizzie and her team believe that the love and care that goes into the hand crafted process is intrinsic to what makes a hat so special and unique to the wearer.
After working in the fashion industry, Lizzie found her passion for millinery and trained with some of London's best milliners - Piers Atkinson and Noel Stewart - before being selected by Stephen Jones and the British Fashion Council to present her collections as part of the 'Headonism' initiative. This platform saw her brand garner international attention.
In addition to creating bespoke hats for her private clients, Lizzie frequently works on commissioned pieces for catwalk shows and fashion magazines including Felder Felder, Vogue and AnOther Magazine.
